Welcoming a new student

We were pleased to welcome a new PhD student to Te Ārai and Te Kura Tapuhi/School of Nursing this week. Xuanrui/Ray Zhang has joined us from China. He conducted his Master’s research at Nantong University, exploring social relationships and loneliness among community-dwelling older adults. He is also a Registered Nurse and was awarded a Gold Prize in a Chinese national nursing skills competition in 2021.

We are now fortunate to have 10 PhD students working with us in Te Ārai and we are very proud of the amazing work they are doing.
