Sharing Family Stories to Improve Palliative Care

Melissa recently hosted a movie night, screening “The Strez” which features her Dad and brothers as they ride across Australia's notorious Strzelecki Desert on adventure motorcycles in search of family history. Her Dad was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer not long before the movie released and has subsequently passed away. She shared her Dad’s journey in a community lecture after the movie. More than 50 people attended the event which raised money for the South West Hospice project which is aiming to raise awareness, and funding, for good, safe palliative and end of life care in Bunbury and regional areas.
