Visiting our friends in Canada

Tess and her partner Nette with Carren Dujela from Victoria University and her partner Ed.

Tess has been awarded a Waipapa Taumata Rau/University of Auckland International Central Networks and Partnerships Grant to enable her to visit international colleagues for the next few months. She is disseminating findings from the Warea study, exploring Māori whānau experiences of Assisted Dying, and discussing new research ideas and collaborations. The latest stop on her tour has been with our friends and colleagues based at the University of Victoria on Vancouver Island. We have had several exchanges previously with Professor Kelli Stajduhar and her team and are always grateful for their wise advice and warm hospitality. Tess gave an online webinar to attendees across Canada and also participated in an Indigenous research meeting hosted by Kelli. After this she is off to Europe for more adventures!
