Te Ārai retreat
This week we have been fortunate to spend a few days together at Long Bay Regional Park to connect, review the year and discuss ideas for the future. Everyone present shared an overview of their research programme and identified hopes and aspirations for the coming year. A key aim for 2026 is to compile all this work into an infographic, although with 25 members and research now spanning the life course from pēpē and tamariki (children) through to kaumātua (older people) that might be a tall order!
The sun shone and the adventurous amongst us had many dips in the moana (ocean). It was a lovely way to end our working year together. Here are a selection of photos of our time together taken by Stella Black, Natalie Anderson and Merryn Gott:
And a couple of amazing images from our talented PhD students.
