Images from #EAPC2025 Helsinki: 19th World Congress of the European Association for Palliative Care

The 19th World Congress took place in Helsinki, Finland 29-31 May, 2025. Four researchers from Te Ārai attend (PhD candidate Eillish Satchell, Dr Natalie Anderson, Associate Professor Jackie Robinson & Professor Merryn Gott), taking a variety of routes to cross the 17000km between Aotearoa New Zealand and Helsinki. We enjoyed long, mild spring days in a clean, safe city with excellent public transport. The conference included over 2000 delegates, with nearly 900 posters (six bearing the Te Ārai logo) and a large number of concurrent sessions. It was a varied and interesting programme showcasing both innovations and challenges in palliative care around the globe. Here are some images from the congress and around Helsinki.
