Dr Moeke-Maxwell is taking Te Ārai around the world in 2026

Dr Tess Moeke-Maxwell was awarded an International Central Network and Partnership Grant from the University of Auckland this week, to support her research collaborations in the field of palliative care and assisted dying in April 2026. She will be visiting Professor Kelii Stajduhar at Victoria University, BC, Canada, Professor Nancy Preston at Lancaster University, UK, Professor Claudia Gamondi at Lausanne Hospital University In Switzerland and Professor Suzanne Geurin at University College Dublin in Ireland. Tess is very excited to have the opportunity to share the findings of the Waerea study on Māori experiences of assisted dying in Aotearoa and she plans on attending the EACP conference in Prague in May next year.
