Congratulations to Yang Zhao who passed her PhD Provisional Year Review today with flying colours! Yang’s PhD is exploring the current and potential role of social workers in supporting Chinese people with palliative care needs and their families in Aotearoa. She completed an Umbrella Review - which is currently under review - to explore the role of social workers in palliative care. Her review, and her personal experiences, shaped her research questions and her three phase sequential mixed methods design. The review committee commended her on an excellent presentation and study design. We are looking forward to following her progress.
