Te Ārai is a palliative care research group with a focus on equity, based in Te Kura Tapuhi/School of Nursing, Waipapa Taumata Rau/The University of Auckland.
We are a research community of Māori and non-Māori working in partnership.
Te Ārai Kāhui Kaumātua (Māori Elder Advisors) support and guide our work.
“Anō nei he pōukutukawa korua, e whātoro ana I ōno here. Ki ōna takiaho. E hii au te kaha.”
Just as the pōhutukawa, whose roots seek out those of its kind to be strong, so must we cling to each other.
